A COMBINATION

It was a combined feat of organisation between parents and the boys. While Mums and Dads looked after the home-made sideshows and competitions, aided by members of  the local commercial Travellers' Association, the Round Tablers and their wives, and other friends, plus the Scouts and Cubs provided the arena entertainment.

Next followed a parade of scarlet-coated, busby hatted toy soldiers (alias the wolf Pack) under the command of " G.O.C." And after it was all over, and the last visitor had left for home, they went back to their week-end camp under canvas, rain or no rain.
