Transcript of E G Courier 12 Jun 1980

PIANO SMASHING and welly throwing were two of the entertainments on offer at the East Grinstead and District Scouts soap box and derby fair held in the town on Saturday. Part of the proceeds are for equipment for the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.

King George's playing field, where the event was held, was the site of many broken records during the afternoon, when the district Scouts with visiting Scout groups, took' part in go-kart racing.
