Cubs try for six of the best
EAST Grinstead and District Cubs held their annual six-a-side soccer tournament on Saturday at Blackwell School. The two finalist were 1st EG (Buckhurst) and 7th EG. The smaller, but more skilful, Buckhurst side won by the only goal of the match.
In the afternoon, 11 senior teams took the pitch. The 8th EG (Chiperwa) won the trophy for the first time, beating Buckhurst 2-0. 1st EG (Walker) beat 6th EG to take third place. The trophies, together with last year league trophies were presented to the winners by Richard Dadson who has run District football for Cubs for the last decade.
